Rich Bennett is deeply ingrained in the Washington Township community, having called it home for the past 30 years. Currently serving on the Washington Township Council for four years, Rich has been an active advocate for various boards and commissions, embodying his commitment to preserving the township's heritage and fostering community engagement. 

As a liaison to several boards, including the Historic Preservation of the Old Stone Village, Rich has played a pivotal role in safeguarding and enhancing this cherished historic site. His dedication to maintaining its integrity underscores his passion for preserving the rich heritage of Washington Township. Additionally, serving as a liaison to the School Board and the Environmental Commission, Rich brings his expertise and vision to initiatives aimed at enhancing educational opportunities and promoting sustainability within the community.

With a robust professional background, Rich brings a wealth of knowledge in procurement to his role on the council. His experience in private and publicly traded manufacturing sectors has equipped him with a solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles, cost-saving strategies, and supply chain optimization. As a procurement specialist, Rich is committed to maximizing cost savings and streamlining processes to ensure efficient resource allocation within the township.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Rich is deeply engaged in community service and youth development. As an Assistant Scout Master for Washington Township Boy Scouts Troop 123, he imparts invaluable leadership skills to young scouts, emphasizing teamwork, communication, and effective planning. His involvement in veteran's activities, including organizing the placement of American Flags on veteran graves at local cemeteries, reflects his profound respect and gratitude for those who have served their country.
