Washington Township Republican Organization Announces 2024 Candidate Line-Up for Mayor & Council: DELLAPIA – HARRIS – BENNETT “Your Voice, Our Mission. Township Together”
(TURNERSVILLE, NJ – April 15, 2024) – Washington Township Republican Organization is proud to announce the 2024 candidate line up for Washington Township Mayor and Council. The Township of Washington, known as “a great place to live, work, and raise a family”, is a Faulkner Act community governed by a mayor and five (5) member Council. All terms are for four (4) years. The current mayoral seat and two (2) council seats are up for election in the June 4, 2024 Primary. The winners of the June Primary will be on the November 5, 2024, ballot. The “Township Together” team of DELLAPIA – HARRIS – BENNETT is ready to serve the residents and business of Washington Township.
Running for Mayor is Anthony DellaPia, who currently serves as Councilman and has held the positions of Council President and Council Vice President. With 26 years of residency in Washington Township, Mr. DellaPia brings a wealth of experience in municipal government, leadership, talent acquisition, team building, and volunteer work with various organizations.
For the two Council seats, the Washington Township Republican Organization is fielding Joe Harris and incumbent Rich Bennett. Joe Harris is a successful entrepreneur with a background in launching and owning several businesses in South Jersey. His experience includes business acquisitions, business development, and creating the ultimate customer-centric experience. Rich Bennett is seeking re-election, currently serving as Councilman. Mr. Bennett is a procurement specialist focused on maximizing cost savings and streamlining supply chain processes. He also serves as Assistant Scout Master for Washington Township Boy Scouts Troop 123.
